Haley and Jake's Wedding on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Ocean Springs at the Gulf Hills Hotel Designed by Say Yes Weddings and Events

At Say Yes Weddings and Events, we specialize in creating unforgettable celebrations across the Mississippi Gulf Coast—and Haley and Jake’s Say Yes Spring Wedding at Gulf Hills Hotel was a perfect example. With a romantic ceremony at St. Michael’s Church and a vibrant, joy-filled reception at one of Mississippi’s most iconic venues, their wedding was bursting with color, personality, and heartfelt family moments. From stunning design to seamless coordination, this event truly showcased what our full-service Mississippi wedding planning team does best.

The Love Story We’ll Never Forget

Jake couldn’t take his eyes off Haley all day. Every single time she walked into the room, his face would light up with a grin that stretched from ear to ear. It was one of those rare kinds of love that you can truly feel—and so could everyone in the room.

Planning this wedding was also incredibly special thanks to the families on both sides. Haley’s mom brought the calm, nurturing energy of a '90s sitcom mom—elegant, loving, and genuinely kind. Her dad? Let’s just say he kept us laughing the entire planning process—and even walked down the aisle in blue suede shoes in honor of Gulf Hills’ Elvis connection! Jake’s mom was a true gem—so bubbly, warm, and chatty we could’ve stayed on the phone with her for hours.

Shindig’s floral design brought bold color and vibrant spring beauty to every corner of this celebration.

From Miss to Dr. to Mrs.

Much of the planning took place while Haley was earning her PhD, so we coordinated many details from afar. Watching her walk into this new chapter—both professionally and personally—was such a joy. We’re proud to say we watched her go from Miss to Dr. to Mrs. in the time we spent working together.

A Say Yes Spring Wedding in Full Bloom

We absolutely adored the bold, vibrant florals designed by the incredibly talented Alexis from Shindig. Her colorful spring palette perfectly reflected the joyful spirit of the day. At Say Yes Weddings and Events, we’re always excited to work with couples who aren’t afraid to lean into bright, bold wedding design—it’s a beautiful way to let personality shine through.

D-Play Band Brought the Party

The night ended on a high note with D-Play, a powerhouse band that kept the dance floor packed from the first song to the last. With multiple vocalists and top-tier musicians, they brought high energy and unforgettable entertainment. Guests danced the night away—and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to end a day full of love.
